Does a respectable job in very low light

Where the normal camera app would display almost total blackness, this app ramps up the contrast and brightness in real time so you can make out whats there. Could the same be accomplished by using a normal photo and running filters on it? Sure but you wouldnt know what you were shooting before you shot it.
